Mission Statement
To preserve the history and historical artifacts of Whitewood and district with special emphasis on our ethnic diversity.
Historical Museum
Our Historical Museum has three buildings on site, the main building, the old Forrest Farm school, and the agriculture building. Come check out the artifacts preserved from Whitewood and the surrounding area!
Heritage Center & Archives
The Heritage Center focuses on the 13 French Counts of St. Hubert. Our archives are housed in the back of the Heritage Center. We are currently working to put our archive online.
Tourism
The Historical Museum location also serves as the communities tourist booth. We have fully functioning washrooms, informational books and maps, and plenty of space to stretch your legs!
Our Team.
The Whitewood Tourism and Heritage Association Inc. is a group of volunteers eager to preserve the unique history of the area. Some members have always called the Whitewood area home and have a special connection to some of the artifacts displayed at the museum. Other members do not have such deeply planted roots, but they have just as special of a connection to the local history because they are part of history in the making! In fact we all are!
